There Oughta Be A Law

Employers hold the key to either stopping or ensuring the continuity of destructive interpersonal bullying at work. We could wait for the burgeoning awareness of Workplace Bullying to catch the attention of business owners and executives and high-level government administrators to convince them to stop it for one of two reasons -- for bottom-line cost savings or for the right moral reason. But we could die waiting ....

Or we could demand state legislation to provide employers with the incentive to duck litigation putting in place internal systems to correct current, and prevent future, incidents of workplace bullying.

Armed with WBI statistics and a small army of volunteer advocates, the Workplace Bullying Institute Legislative Campaign (a separate organization from the research and education nonprofit organization) is pursuing legislation in U.S. states.
